No words can fully describe this place

Eagle View One, Beumont Farm, Dullstroom... No words can fully describe this place. So much peace and quiet, rolling hills of green, beautifully isolated..we were lucky to have some rainy weather that made it so much more romantic! The steaming hot tub was the highlight.. relaxing, stargazing and re-connecting.. Folded in a blanket of mist the next morning...no better way to wake up.. The perfect hidden gem! Experience rate: 5/5. Facilities rate: 5/5.

Surrounded by breathtaking mountain views and beautiful horses!

We had a wonderful stay at the Casey Tibbs bungalow surrounded by breathtaking mountain views and beautiful horses. The Bungalow is cleverly designed and very well-appointed with a comfortable bed, indoor fire place, outdoor bath, and wood-fired hot tub. Whether you're seeking a romantic getaway or a peaceful retreat surrounded by nature, this bungalow is an absolute gem!

I really enjoyed my stay at Mountain Cabin

It is private and secluded so we really felt safe and comfortable. The views on a walk were spectacular and there are cards and other games to play which kept us entertained. The green egg is amazing and so quick and easy to cook on. The beds are extremely comfortable and the house has everything you could need on a getaway. Really impressed with the house and the team. Would highly recommend!

A complete breath of fresh air!

I stayed at the Sanjika Boshuis stay for 4 days on my honeymoon to South Africa- being from a very noisy and busy city of Mumbai, it was a complete breath of fresh air! The location is marvellous - it’s got its own waterfall, hike, pond etc. cannot miss appreciating the host Elsa- she’s amazing- she had arranged for everything for the stay to be perfect - the kitchen was stocked with all essentials, the rooms were so clean, bathroom had all necessary toiletries, Elsa has prepared a list of places nearly to visit, how to use the campfire place etc. it was a lovely lovely stay and a must visit!

My stay at Kiku Cottage was incredible

My stay at Kiku Cottage was incredible - and the browsing and booking process via Lifetree Collection's website was a pleasant experience in and of itself. Cath is a wonderfully kind host and the property is beyond stunning! I had been craving a gateway to a farmland destination for some time and this cottage with spectacular views ticked all of the boxes. I hope to return again soon!

Fairy Flycatcher Villa, a highly recommended stay

Imagine waking up to the subtle call of water flowing at the pool, an invitation impossible to resist. While making yourself home, you're surrounded by pure luxury, and beyond the walls your breath is taken away by the uninterrupted views. You become one with the landscape merely by stepping out on the veranda and blissfully plunging in the natural pool. Another opportunity that cannot be missed is the relaxing bubble bath under the stars. Not only was the villa an incredible treat, but the service was excellent. If you're unfamiliar with McGregor, the host provides an amplitude of recommendations, from dining to wine tasting, to the possibility of a spa day arranged right in the comfort of your 'home'.

A very happy stay in a beautiful place

We had a really lovely stay and although we initially had misgivings about the house not locking up securely we soon realised we were quite safe there at the end of the road! We loved the indigenous garden and the amazing bird life it attracted, we also loved just being able to put on our shoes and walk on the mountain. Overall it was a very happy stay in a beautiful place and we found the friendly dogs a lovely bonus thrown in. The homely touch of the wine and the milk in the fridge was much appreciated.

Super stylish bed in the shed!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this super stylish bed in the shed! Great WiFi in the barn made it easy to work remotely and the swinging chairs overlooking the gorgeous Banhoek mountains made it easy to kick back and relax. The indoor fireplace and complementary bottle of wine (made on the farm!) were great touches too. We will definitely be coming back to this spot soon!

Will also add - we loved the Mungo towels. Sam was a great host and sent great instructions for check in, check out, etc.

A moment in time, making memories

Quietly perched on a rocky outcrop in Bainskloof pass you will find this private cabin tucked away on the mountainside. Oomblik. Overlooking uninterrupted breathtaking vistas, we felt like we entered a sanctuary. From the elegant yet comfortable décor to the woodfired hot tub and indoor fireplace, Oomblik satisfies the most discerning guests.

We enjoyed luxury sleeping amenities providing a quality night's rest set in the most tranquil surroundings. A morning coffee on the deck, watching the sunset and sunrise, home cooked-meals and sharing in the company and laughter of family and friends were some of the highlights that made this stay magical.

Oomblik is truly a "moment" halted in time. A space to make beautiful memories. Thank you Lifetree Collection!

Think self-catering, but low-key luxury

We had the most wonderful bush retreat at Matla Noka for a family reunion getaway.

Gathering from all parts of SA (and some from overseas), we arrived just as the sunset started painting the sky in an array of colours; we opted to hit the firepit boma with a sundowner in hand right then and there – we could worry about the luggage later. After all, there is nothing like an African sunset and the inviting setting around the fire instantly sucked us in – one we were not going to miss.

The main camp is kept in excellent condition – a large kitchen and dining-room-come lounge area overlooking the river provided a rejuvenating spot to socialise during meal times and lounging around during the day. The tented suites are spacious with hotel quality comfort bedding, and the hot showers did not let us down in the cold winter mornings/evenings!

Think fully self-catering, but with low-key luxury as we had our own private chef to prepare all meals. This was truly amazing as it meant we got more quality time to spend together as a family without the worry of cooking up a storm and cleaning up thereafter for a group of 7.

The experience is highlighted and reflected in the attention to detail. The subtle turn-down service in the evening meant that we could climb into a warm bed every cold night as our electric blankets were switched on and beds prepared for us. Game drives provided a gentle safari experience, with an epic sundowner spot not to be missed. We explored the hiking trails and ventured out on to the calm river in the paddle boats provided. We loved our time around the crackling fire, telling stories and soaking up the bliss of nature. A cupboard full of board and card games was a great touch for an avid ‘gaming’ family.

Matla Noka gives you the luxury of a tented bush lodge but with exclusivity, being the only guests there we could feel at home. Our only mistake was that we booked too short a stay.

A special thanks and compliments to Donovan, Chef Ephraim, his lovely wife, Johanna, and Norman for looking after us during our stay.

We will be back.

A beautifully styled and curated home away from home

We chose to stay at De Goede Hoop Farmstead out Worcester way, and we were blown away. A home that has every single thing you could possibly need, yet beautifully styled and curated in each and every corner of the space.

We could make ourselves at home from the moment we arrived - fully self-catering allowed us to connect with our friends while cooking French toast for breakfast, and a delicious braai for dinner. We sat around the table and spoke and just enjoyed feeling like we were in the middle of nowhere - far away from our responsibilities and normal life.

We spent a lot of time in the hot tub outside too, the kids LOVED it and so did we, beneath the starlit sky.

It was probably one of the first places I have been to in a long time that had a beautiful bath that was actually comfortable to lie in.

The main bedroom is en-suite and no words can describe its magic. The space has been so thoughtfully decorated.

The outdoor space is endless - it begs to be explored and the boys went for a long walk behind the house and came back with all of the stories to tell.

This house sleeps eight people, and is spacious enough not to get into anybody's way. It’s ideal for a large family or for a group of friends to connect over a weekend or in the holidays.

Loved everything about our stay - not a single complaint!

I joined a group of friends for a weekend away at Villa Le Roc around January 2022. Most of us were Cape Town locals but two the guests were visiting from London. Suffice to say, we were all blown away by the stay. The house is spacious, comfortable and has been very tastefully decorated. What stood out to us in particular is how well-kitted it is; we enjoy cooking and were greeted with pretty much all the utensils, crockery and cutlery one could ask for. The hosts were kind enough to leave pizza bases for us to use in their awesome pizza oven which turned out to be a huge hit among the friends. We were also grateful for the abundance of fire wood for non-stop braais - just how we like it.

With swims and hikes around the beautiful Palmiet River just down the road and a fantastic Kleinmond beach within walking distance, there is no shortage of action to fill up your days. Thank you to Marinda and Villa Le Roc for your hospitality. We’ll be back!
