De Uijlenes has been a working dairy and vegetable farm for centuries while remaining in the same family for nearly two hundred years. The Nightjar Cottage is a cute, cosy cottage located in complete privacy on the farm.

THE AREA

De Uijlenes is a picturesque farm, situated 15 km from Gansbaai and ideal for a tranquil leisure getaway.  The unpretentious village of Gansbaai is a fishing town and popular tourist destination in the Overberg district.

Both Southern Right Whales and Great White Sharks frequent the Atlantic waters of the Danger Point Peninsula and are a major draw card for the town. Situated between the towns of Hermanus and Pearly Beach, Gansbaai lies in Walker Bay at the foot of the Dynefontein Mountains with a magnificent coastline rich in fynbos vegetation.

Cancellation Policy 

If cancelling 7 days before arrival, forfeit 100% of the booking total. If cancelling 14 days before arrival, forfeit 50% of the booking total.

All COVID related cancellations will be issued with a voucher for future use. You will be invoiced for any breakages incurred by you or any of your guests.
