The communal areas are open plan and flow into each other. There are loads of break away areas to retreat to for some peace and quiet, and to contemplate nature.

THE HOUSE
A fabulous beach house with ample space. Soak up the sun in the wind protected pool courtyard or nestle into the TV lounge upstairs for some well deserved time out. Thyme & Tide is beachfront bliss with uninterrupted sea views from almost every angle.

LIVING
There is an open plan lounge area which opens onto a wrap around wooden deck. This leads onto the state of the art kitchen, ideal for cooking up a storm, while still remaining a part of the house. There is a separate scullery and lock up pantry.
The dining room can open up both onto the sunny morning deck for breakfast, or onto the other side where the braai is located. This area has fabulous sea views, and is protected from the elements, and is great for both indoor and outdoor entertaining.
THE AREA
Yzerfontein is a unique destination, and not only because of the spectacular seascapes, wild fynbos and wildflowers; the entire town is a designated conservancy where man and nature live in harmony. Raised walkways, well-defined walking paths and accessible beaches allow visitors to explore almost every inch of this magnificent coastline. The cold Benguela current delivers bracingly cold water, but this does not deter regular swimmers, surfers and almost every other water sport.

There is a Spar supermarket as well as basic grocery shops where you can purchase most of the basics for catering and household purposes. They always have a selection of fresh fruit and veg, as well as meat and groceries. They do bake fresh breads daily. You can purchase fresh fish from the fishing boats, but this is obviously weather and catch dependent. There is a fantastic butchery in Darling, which is well stocked for anything else you may need.
