LIVING

Spread across one level of living, dining, cooking and relaxing spaces, this stay has been stylishly put together. Vintage family heirlooms meet bespoke cabinetry and steel works.

The rooms flank the heart of the home, each with equally magnificent views. One bedroom has an outdoor shower, the other has a patio with their own lounge chairs. 

The state-of-the-art kitchen is fully equipped to cook up a storm, the adjacent pantry ideal for leaving your dirty dishes out of sight and for sourcing some lovely spices left by the owners.

The glass sliding doors lead out onto a generous wooden deck fitted with outdoor dining facilities and an l-shaped patio lounger. Around the corner you will find a splash pool to cool off on a hot summers day.

THE AREA

Rosendal, the closest town, is a small farming town and arts colony 49 km north of Ficksburg in the Free State province of South Africa which was founded in 1908. It has become a popular tourist destination, known for spectacular scenery, including the surrounding mountains, and is home to a community of artists and small business owners. The town has a number of attractive buildings and early-20th-century homes. There are several art galleries and several small cafes cum restaurants as well as a heritage district of restored buildings in the former downtown.

The house has a septic tank so please do not flush anything other than toilet paper down the toilet.

The water is 100% safe to drink.

There is an inverter & a UPS for loadshedding provisions – All lights, the pressure pump, all plugs, the
Wifi, induction hob, fridges & freezers as well as the coffee machine remain running during loadshedding.
