Bordered by Cape Nature Walker Bay that covers over 17km of shoreline.

THE CABIN

A spacious and well equipped log cabin situated in a bird sanctuary on the outskirts of Stanford overlooking the Klein River. The cabin, sleeping up to 4 adults and 4 children, is raised on stilts allowing for one-of-a-kind views of the spectacular wetlands, mountain ranges and natural surroundings.

LIVING

The cabin features an open-plan living room and kitchen, DStv/ satellite television and patio off the main bedrooms with full mountain and/ or river views.

THE AREA

Take a scenic drive 23 kms beyond Hermanus and you’ll discover the historic village of Stanford. Majestically watched over by the Klein River mountains and built along the reed-lined Klein River this quiet village in the Overberg is the perfect place to stay and explore all that Stanford and the surrounding area has to offer.

The heart of the village boasts an original market square, a village green and a miscellany of shops and places to eat. Quaint Victorian houses dot the tree-lined streets where villagers have time to stop for a friendly chat or a cup of coffee and a delicious piece of cake just freshly baked at one of the local eateries. Loads of activities abound for the adventure seeker, from horse riding, shark cage diving and river cruises, to whale watching, birding and fishing.

GOOD TO KNOW

Provided on arrival are coffee, tea, milk and sugar.

Canoes are available for paddling up and down the lagoon.

Gas braai as well as wood burning braai available.

The whole property is run off renewable energy and borehole water.

With prior arrangement, a bigger group can pitch tents next to the house at an additional rate per person.

If cancelling 14 days before arrival, forfeit 100% of the deposit
If cancelling 21 days before arrival, forfeit 50% of the deposit
If cancelling 30 days before arrival, forfeit 25% of the deposit
