THE AREA 

Zwakala River Retreat is situated on a private family owned farm in the beautiful Magoebaskloof / Haenertsburg Mountains on the banks of the Broederstroom River the source of the great Letaba. Fantastic walks and clearly marked cycling routes through forests and private farms in the area. Also trout fishing on the river and in the surrounding area, visits to other establishments such as Wegraakbosch Cheese Farm and the famous Cheerio Gardens just up the road

No children under the age of 16

A high clearance vehicle is necessary to access the cabins. There is a 5.5 km dirt road from the Cheerio Road turn off

All the wood and furniture is locally sourced to support sustainability

Amenities provided; soap, shower gel, body lotion, bath crystals, tea, coffee, milk, sugar & firewood

There is a yoga deck and spa within walking distance, overlooking the river
