THE CUBE

The Star Gazing Cube is a solid see through Cube with gorgeous ocean views – the best part about this stay is that the bed is on a remote controlled mechanism that allows it to be rolled out onto the deck for the ultimate star gazing experience.

A meandering boardwalk leads you onto a spacious deck where you will find the Star Gazing Cube nestled in the forest. Laze on the chill net whilst reading a book, listening to the sounds of the forest. Relax in the eco-friendly wood-fired hot tub. Enjoy a braai on the gas braai and a drink at your private cocktail table while taking in spectacular sunsets.

LIVING 

The open-air kitchenette is equipped with a gas hob, fridge, microwave and offers everything you need for your convenience. Enjoy a shower in the spacious his and hers shower which offers views into the forest, and the bathroom has the added luxury of a heated towel rail. Both the bathroom and kitchen share a solid roof, wrapped around the sides of the dome.

The outdoor living experience is unique in that you are truly private and feel as if you are the only guest on the reserve. The white canvas triangular-shaped dome is cosy, offers a king-size bed with a television and Netflix with the added benefit of WiFi and air conditioning.

THE AREA

The incredibly beautiful area of land that lies between the Tsitsikamma Mountains and the sea stretches west to the Bloukrans River and east to Eerste River and is named after the San word that means a place of abundant water.

The area is like a treasure trove; overflowing with protected indigenous forest that bears ancient trees like yellowwood, hard pear, stinkwood, and ironwood; fynbos covered landscape and the appearance of entrancing animals and birds, like the shy Knysna Loerie. Described as the garden of the garden route, the Tsitsikamma actually deserves a more vivid description to encapsulate the beauty of the place.

GOOD TO KNOW 

Breakfast is included in your rate. The Misty Mountain Reserve team will collect you in a golf cart and transport you to breakfast each morning.

Battery operated lanterns and candles are made available. 

Optional extras include; picnic baskets, braai baskets, lunch and dinner at the neighbouring lodge restaurant and or a pre-packed bar fridge.

If cancelling 7 days before arrival, forfeit 100% of the deposit.

If cancelling 14 days before arrival, forfeit 75% of the deposit.

If cancelling 28 days before arrival, forfeit 50% of the deposit.
