Baby Blue Beach Cottage

Situated above Indigo Blue Beach House but also with direct beach access and sweeping lagoon views, Baby Blue is an open plan studio flat that sleeps two adults. A small sleeping loft is available for children aged 6-12 years. The kitchenette consists of a 4 plate gas cooker with extractor fan, electric oven and fridge. There are two single beds on wheels which can be moved easily if you need more space. The small sitting area completes the interior. There is a spacious bathroom with a walk in shower.

THE COTTAGE

Laid back living in Langebaan. A studio cottage with a relaxed West Coast feel on the edge of the lagoon.

LIVING 

As with Indigo Blue, the indoor-outdoor flow is exceptional – there is a wooden deck looking out over the lagoon and a wind protected rear covered stoep and braai area. There’s an outside hot and cold shower and great patch of lawn for chilling. A mini olive grove completes the picture!

A separate bunk room with its own loo and wash basin has recently been added – this is ideal for adults, older kids and teenagers to have their ‘own’ space. Baby Blue can be rented own its own or in conjunction with Indigo Blue Beach House (sleeping up to 8).

THE AREA

Langebaan enjoys almost year-round sunshine and boasts azure waters and unsurpassed natural beauty. 

The white sand beaches surrounding the clear waters of the Langebaan Lagoon are very popular, and the mild climate and protected waters of the lagoon make it the perfect location for many water sports, including sailing, kayaking, kitesurfing, and fishing. Even if you are a beginner, you can still enjoy Langebaan Lagoon. Most of the water sport shops and centers offer kitesurfing lessons, sailing lessons, water skiing lessons and windsurfing lesson. The wind almost always picks up by mid-afternoon. 

Langebaan is an internationally acclaimed Ramsar Site for its importance as a wetland and the tidal mud flats of the lagoon not only host many local bird species but also attract migratory birds every year. Thousands of seabirds roost on sheltered islands, pristine golden beaches stretch endlessly into the early morning mist and brooding salt marshes are home to vast concentrations of migrant waders from the northern hemisphere.

GOOD TO KNOW 

Bath & Beach towels are provided.

If you bring your own boat, you may use the ‘Baby Blue’ mooring in front of the house. There is also space on the beach to keep your Hobie.

Denlyn Play Park - is 200m up the road and is ideal for young children to burn off some energy.
