LIVING 

River cottage is tastefully furnished and equipped with all the amenities you need for a comfortable stay. Relax in front of a crackling fireplace indoors or outdoors depending on the weather.

The cozy bedrooms have comfortable bedding with electric blankets for a restful nights sleep. One bedroom has a private deck with mountain views. 

The kitchen is fully equipped for preparing meals and snacks at your convenience and the well appointed living area offers comfortable seating as well as an indoor fireplace for you to relax and unwind. There is also an outdoor deck with seating and dining for meals and gatherings.

Situated on Melkhout Guest Farm, located between Bonnievale and Swellendam just off the R60. Escape to the tranquil Breede River and breathtaking Langeberg mountains. This is a true haven for nature enthusiasts, adventure seekers, and those who yearn for a peaceful retreat away from bustling city life. Indulge in a variety of activities during your stay. Experience the charm of cows, tractors, and the beauty of nature all at once, in one unforgettable getaway. GOOD TO KNOW 

Basic pantry items are provided; salt, pepper, tea, coffee, sugar, balsamic vinegar and olive oil.

Approximately 2km gravel road, before arriving at Melkhout Guest Farm when using the turnoff from R60 or Stormsvlei.

Wood (1 bag) and firelighters are provided. 

Ice can be purchased on the farm.

The nearest shop in Bonnievale is 20 km away and approximately 28 km if you are heading towards Swellendam.
